PROTEK Charitable Foundation summarized the activity results of the first half of 2009. The core profile of the Foundation is the implementation of the HEALTH TO PEOPLE charitable program. During the period of 6 months the Foundation donated medicines amounting to over 10 million rubles to medical and preventive treatment facilities and through no-profit organizations. The purpose of this program is to contribute to better health care and improvement of the quality of life of Russian people.

On May 25, a complete scientific facsimile edition of the 16th century Illuminated Compiled Chronicle was solemnly passed to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

In 2009 the National History Museum and PROTEK Charitable Foundation established the I. E. Zabelin prize in the field of restoration of museum pieces and collections. The Prize presentation was held in the National History Museum on May 18, 2009. This year the prize was awarded to the authors of four projects - employees of the National History Museum, Sverdlovsk Regional History Museum, and Saratov Regional Museum of History.

The PROTEK Charity Fund has summed up its performance results for 2008. Over this period, the Fund focused on implementation of the HEALTH TO PEOPLE Charity Program, under which they have sent free medications in the value of over 40 million rubles to the medical and prevention facilities, including via non-profit organizations, in order to improve health and enhance the quality of life of the Russian citizens.

Sotex comprising a production division in the Protek business group now adds up charity activity total in 2008 within the On the Way to Benevolence Program. Jointly with Protek Charity Foundation the Company is engaged in charity and sponsorship and gives a helping hand to educational institutions, hospitals, and research institutes.

The ceremonial transfer of the multivolume scientific facsimile of the 16th century Personal Annalistic Code as a donation to the Saint Petersburg-based Russian National Library took place on December 9, 2008.

Three certificates totaling 500,000 roubles were donated to healthcare institutions of Nizhegorodskaya oblast by PROTEK Charity Foundation during the interregional scientific conference MEDPHARMCONVENTSIA-2008

Blood factors were donated within the framework of charity program HEALTH FOR PEOPLE. Timely supply with these drugs helped to sustain seamless treatment for hemophiliac patients. The only available therapeutic option allowing to avoid early invalidization is regular intravenous delivery of missing blood factors, i.e. replacement therapy.
