Sotex Pharm Firm, CC is the core of the Group manufacturing segment. At the end of 2010, it was the fourth company in the top list of domestic manufacturers, according to the wholesale volume*.

The manufacturing facility of the company is located in the Sergiyev-Posad District of the Moscow Region. An integrated cycle manufacturing section is used to prepare injection solutions, fill ampoules, and further on pack, label and ship products to the warehouse. A manufacturing line used to produce genetically engineered medicine in pre-filled syringes was installed at the Sotex facility.The ampoule production capacity is up to 100 million ampoules, 6 million syringes and 35 million packages per year. State-of-the-art equipment manufactured by major European concerns enables filling ampoules of 1, 2, 5, 10, and 20 milliliter capacity. The manufacturing facility also includes a 4,000-pallet warehouse.

Sotex is one of the most advanced high-tech and innovative pharmaceutical manufacturers in Russia. The facility is built and manufactures medicine in compliance with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) **. Equipment manufactured by major global companies was installed at the facility. Sotex conducts annual audits of its manufacturing capacity in coordination with foreign partners representing the leading global pharmaceutical companies. 

The company manufacturing business is being developed in three directions:
1. Manufacturing and promotion of the own-brand medicine on the basis of  the cutting-edge formulae that ensure high efficiency and safety.
2. Licensed manufacturing of brands and brand generics of the leading global companies (the line was launched in 2006 along with the Actovegin medicine licensed by Nycomed). 
3. Manufacturing of the high-quality liquid INPN generics.

In June, 2011, the manufacturing line comprised 68 medicines, including 34 own-brand products in a variety of pharmaceutical forms. Medicines used in cardiology, rheumatology, neurology, oncology, nephrology, as well as general purpose medicines make up the largest part of the manufacturing capacity The own company brand - Eralfon (epoetin alpha) - was nominated as the 2010 Breakthrough Medicine according to the expert voting at the Platinum Ounce contest.

Sotex’s partners within the joint manufacturing project are major foreign companies such as Sanofi-Aventis, Nycomed, Lek (the Novartis Group), Pierre Fabre, Bayer Schering Pharma, State Research Institute of High-Purity Biopharmaceuticals. Sotex works in close cooperation with the Russian leading biotechnology research centers including the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy and the State Research Institute of High-Purity Biopharmaceuticals.
Along with medicine manufacturing Sotex also promotes its own-brand products. In June, 2011, the Company’s regional service, a part of the Neurology, Rheumatology, and Budget Sales business units, employed over 160 specialists.

In 2011, the Group reinforced the manufacturing business segment due to the purchase of the AnviLab company that owns the rights to the famous pharmaceutical brands including Antigrippin-Maximum, Gepaguard, Influnet and others, and is the rightholder of the ANVI Laboratory brand.
